Meta Tried To Slide In With Crouton Alpha As A Stealth Model And Got Busted In 5 Minutes XD

So what is this nonsense

OpenRouter just added a new model called stealth/crouton-alpha.

It came out on 3 November 2026. It is free right now. It has a 1M token context window and it can read text, image, audio, video and files. It is made for agent tasks, tool calling and multi doc work.

OpenCode also added it. They said it will be free for one week.

The funny part is the name. It is listed as a stealth model. Stealth means the provider is hidden. No one should know who made it.

But everyone knows who made it.

Why we all know it is Meta

The community already did the work.

1. Same region block. People tested it and saw the region block is the same as Meta model APIs. If you know Meta, you know this story. Meta Muse is only in US and Canada right now. Not in Pakistan. And Meta terms say you must be in a country where Muse works. VPN does not help. Crouton Alpha has the same block. Same list. Same error. Come on Babe.

2. Same weird bug. Someone tested it with a rare Japanese word. Crouton Alpha made the same mistake as Muse models. 93 other models did not make that mistake. That is not a random bug. That is a family bug.

3. Same params. The inference params are very close to Muse Spark 1.3 and Muse Wonder. Tool calling style, reasoning tokens, effort levels. It looks the same.

So let me get this right. You want to launch a secret model. But you keep the same region block, same params, same bug as your public models.

What is this hiding?

Meta bro, if you want to hide, hide properly

Look, stealth models are supposed to be hidden. That is the whole point. You put it on OpenRouter, you put no name, no logo, no blog post.

But if you block the same countries you always block, people will know.

Muse Spark 1.3 and Muse Wonder are blocked in many places. Crouton Alpha is blocked in the same places. That is like wearing a mask but keeping your name tag on.

And the token count is new, so it is not old Muse. It is something new. Probably internal. Probably what will be Muse Spark 1.4 or Muse 4 or Wonder Lite or whatever you will call it.

Also, the provider of this "Stealth model" trend are supposed to be hidden, but you are messing up with this trend.
