How We Solved Persistent Context Loss in Civic Issues with Hindsight

When building AI systems to manage civic issues like pothole identification and garbage monitoring, the most common pitfall isn't detection accuracyβ€”it's memory. A typical LLM or stateless vision wrapper forgets previous user reports, repetitive regional complaints, and historical resolution logs the second the session resets.

To bridge this gap, we built CivicPulse, a Django-based web application for civic issue reporting and management featuring AI-powered image analysis (YOLOv8) and NGO coordination. By integrating Hindsight agent memory, CivicPulse retains historical civic report contexts, agent interactions, and regional issue trends across time.
