Bunny Innovations turns two today. We're a 30-person engineering team in Hyderabad, and this is our first post on DEV, so here's a quick, developer-flavoured intro.
What we build
Four areas, and most real projects touch more than one:
- Agentic AI: agents that complete a real task end to end, with the unglamorous parts done properly: parsing messy inputs, handling failures and retries, and keeping a human in the loop where it matters.
- IoT and edge: devices and sensors, plus the processing that runs close to them when the cloud is too slow, too costly or not allowed.
- Cloud and data: pipelines and data platforms that the client's own team can operate after handover.
- Computer vision and digital twins: the one we get asked about most is AI video analytics on the CCTV cameras cities already have, for traffic and smart-city work. Existing cameras mean fixed angles, uneven quality and night footage, so most of the engineering is in the data, not the model.
The platforms we work with
We're a SUSE One partner (as of yesterday), members of the Snowflake Partner Network, the Cloudera Partner Network and IBM Partner Plus, and an Increff partner. In practice that means we spend a lot of time on enterprise Linux and Kubernetes, data platforms, and getting AI workloads to run where the client's data already lives, on-prem or in the cloud.
How a project runs
Most engagements start as a fixed-price 6-week pilot:
- Weeks 1–2: environment, data pipelines, integration testing, onboarding.
- Weeks 3–4: core features, model training or fine-tuning, the interface.
- Weeks 5–6: acceptance testing, performance tuning, documentation, evaluation.
Success metrics are agreed before week one. That forces a useful conversation early: what does "working" actually mean for this team? Is it detection accuracy on night footage, turnaround time on a document queue, or uptime on a sensor network? Writing that down on day one saves arguments in week six.
Say hi
If you work on edge vision, agents or data platforms, we'd like to compare notes. And if your company needs an implementation partner or extra delivery capacity, the pilot details are here: https://bunnyinnovations.com/pilot.html
Year three starts today. Follow along.
