I've been building Assembly, an experimental open-source AI workspace that coordinates multiple agents to solve a problem independently, compare their responses, challenge disagreements, and synthesize an answer with sources and uncertainty notes where available.

The goal is to experiment with how multiple AI models can work together rather than relying on a single response.

Tech stack

  • Python and FastAPI for the backend
  • Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS for the frontend
  • Multi-agent orchestration, evidence comparison, and synthesis

I'm looking for developers who would like to contribute to:

  • Frontend and UX: accessibility, mobile layouts, and investigation flows
  • Backend and reliability: API behavior, error handling, and streaming
  • AI and evaluation: provider integrations, testing, and reproducible benchmarks
  • Documentation: setup instructions and developer experience

You don't need to commit to a large feature or become a long-term maintainer immediately. Start with one focused issue, ask questions, and submit a small pull request. Some tasks can be completed without live model API keys.

I'm particularly interested in meeting developers who enjoy AI agents, Python, full-stack development, testing, and open-source collaboration. Feedback and suggestions are welcome, too.
