HELLO EVERYBODY,I’m sure what I’m telling you won’t sound familiar... About 4 or 5 years ago, I started tinkering around online and discovered the possibilities offered by the Flipper Zero and everything else that goes with it. I thought to myself: if some 16-year-old Russian kid can pull all this off using a beat-up, janky old computer on the corner of a table, then surely I can do it too! Hah! The thing is, I have absolutely zero background in IT—I can just about get by using Windows, and that’s it; just the basics.
I started out by trying to access TOR without a VPN—totally clueless, like a lamb walking into a pack of wolves! I’d ask questions, try things out—blah, blah, blah—and ended up losing 25–26k. I still don’t know how to program, but I’ve picked up a few things and can manage a bit better, though I’m still pretty much a dummy. That said, I’ve made a really good friend who helps me a lot with various aspects of this strange, ever-changing world.
I’ve learned that the only limit is one’s own imagination. I’m just so curious about things that might seem completely normal to you—I’m sure there are others like me out there; I can’t possibly be the only one! Anyway, my friend is an IT professional, so he’s always in the loop—even he sometimes has to tell me, "Whoa, take it easy! We’re not in a movie!" I’ll ask him, "Hey, could we do this or that?" and I often have to laugh when he says, "Look, Matt, I know a lot of things are possible, but let’s not get carried away—we’re not in Mission: Impossible 724!" Anyway, as I was saying, I’ve got a few projects going on right now—after taking some significant losses, I’m currently working with EMV, Cardpeek, EMV reader/writers, NFC, and so on. I’m not being greedy; I’m just doing it to live comfortably, without having to worry at the end of the month about whether I’ll scrape by. My friend is in the same boat, so we’re just taking it nice and steady.
