Why Fast Coding LLMs Keep Truncating Your Code — And How HyperFlash Fixes It

If you’ve spent any time working with fast, cost-efficient LLMs like Gemini 3.8 Flash in modern autonomous agent environments like Google Antigravity, you know the painful cycle:

  1. You ask the model to implement a non-trivial feature.
  2. It generates blazing-fast tokens… until halfway through, token pressure hits.
  3. It drops a comment like:
# ... rest of implementation remains unchanged ...
  1. It breaks your build and declares: "I have fixed the issue!" without ever running a test.

Fast models have raw intelligence, but they lack structural discipline.

To solve this, I built and open-sourced HyperFlash: an autonomous multi-agent reliability runtime for Google Antigravity that forces fast engines to code with the rigor of a principal engineer.

The Paradigm: Parameter Scale vs. Structural Scaffolding

Instead of burning tokens on heavier frontier models or running slow multi-agent swarms for 2-line fixes, HyperFlash trades parameter scale for deterministic OS-level scaffolding:

  • 🛡 No Truncations Allowed: An OS-level PreToolUse hook analyzes edit payloads and actively rejects any code containing // ... rest of code or empty pass blocks.
  • 🌳 AST Call-Graph Scope Locking: Before touching a file, HyperFlash indexes the workspace AST into .agents/state/symbol_graph.json to verify all upstream callers before mutating signatures.
  • 🛑 Stop Gate Hook: The model literally cannot conclude the turn until fresh compiler and test-suite evidence confirms VERDICT: PASS after the latest mutation.
  • 🔒 Tool-Permission Asymmetry: The primary orchestrator is stripped of write tools. It cannot bypass the contract.

30-Second Quickstart

HyperFlash integrates directly into ~/.gemini/config/ non-destructively without touching your third-party MCP configs or existing tools.

Linux / macOS:

git clone https://github.com/Virat-Ghatge/hyperflash.git
cd hyperflash
./install.sh

Windows (PowerShell):

git clone https://github.com/Virat-Ghatge/hyperflash.git
cd hyperflash
.\install.ps1

Once installed, simply type @hyperflash in the Antigravity Desktop IDE chat or run agy --agent hyperflash in your terminal!

Open Source & Community

HyperFlash is 100% open source under the MIT License.
