What makes a technology solution truly useful ?

Lately, I’ve been diving into the world of AI and IoT, and one question keeps popping up in my mind:What really makes a technology solution useful?

It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of what new technology could do. But when it comes to real-world use, I think the key is how well it solves an actual problem.AI and IoT in the Real WorldThe Internet of Things (IoT) connects devices and sensors that gather and share data.Artificial intelligence (AI) then helps analyze that data, spotting patterns and insights.Together, these technologies can be powerful in physical spaces and industrial settings.Some examples include:
Keeping track of equipment and assets
Getting a clearer picture of inventory and operations
Enhancing workforce safety and monitoring
Controlling access to facilities
Making sense of operational data
But none of this really matters unless it’s tackling a real need.Start with the Problem, Not the TechA big lesson I’m learning is that technology shouldn’t be the first step.Say a company struggles to track its equipment.Instead of jumping straight to, “Which tech should we buy?” it’s way more useful to ask:
Why is this a problem in the first place?
How is it impacting the business?
What information do we already have?
What do the people involved actually need?
