No signup. No install. Open a tab and start editing — on your own machine, a shared computer, or a Chromebook.
Start from a template, not a blank canvas
Most editors drop you on an empty canvas and leave you to figure out the rest. Web PSEditor leads with ready-made templates for the jobs people actually do every day:
- ID photos — swap the background color for passport/ID-style portraits in a few clicks
- E-commerce product shots — clean white-background images for your listings
- One click Open as Template, replace the image, adjust, export. Done.
The everyday tools, up front
- Magic wand background removal — select, remove, and export a clean transparent PNG in seconds
- Open and edit PSD files — layers and blend modes stay fully editable, right in the browser
- Layers, filters, adjustments, and text — plus redaction tools (mosaic/blur) for sensitive content
- Familiar shortcuts — Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y, Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V, Space+drag to pan, scroll to zoom
- Wide format support — PNG (with alpha), JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG, plus multi-layer JSON project files you can save and re-edit later
Tutorials in English and Chinese
It's built on top of an open-source browser editor (miniPaint), extended with a step-by-step tutorial library in both English and Chinese — like swapping an ID photo background, start to finish. If you're new to layer editing, you don't have to learn it the hard way.
Free means free
- No watermark on exports
- No resolution caps — export lossless PNG, JPEG, or WebP, free
Why I built it
Honestly? I got tired of the trade-off. Desktop editors are powerful but heavy, and most "free online editors" either watermark your exports or cap your resolution just when you need the full-size file. I wanted the third option: real layer editing, in a tab, built around practical jobs — ID photos, product images, quick redactions — not just an empty canvas.
One more thing, and it's just an architecture fact: everything is processed locally in the browser canvas, so your files never leave your device. There is no upload endpoint. IDs, financial documents, client work — it all stays on your computer.
What's next
Right now it shines on desktop (keyboard + mouse is where precision selection lives). The template gallery and tutorial library keep growing, and I'm working through user feedback on the editor UX.
If you try it, I'd genuinely love to hear what breaks for you — the fastest way to reach me is right here in the comments.
Happy editing. 🎨
