The group behind previous Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks is offering a 200+GB playable build, conditioned on a related meme coin hitting a 30 million dollar market cap.
The report also highlights ongoing risks as separate actors circulate fake PC builds to distribute malware.
The group, known as CyberLeek, published its proposal on its website. According to it, if the total value of the group's digital currency on the Solana network reaches $30 million, then the full game will be released.
Until recently, the value of this coin was estimated at $2,5 million, with each unit costing $0,0034. This is significantly lower than the $0,025 it was worth on August 23, and its price has fallen slightly despite the new announcements.
It's unclear from the way the team's announcements are worded whether they plan to release gameplay footage or if they're preparing to release a playable copy. The game is officially scheduled to release on November 19th, exclusively for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
At the same time, scammers are exploiting the situation by releasing fake versions of the game for PCs, aiming to steal digital money or infect users' devices with dangerous programs.
The game's publisher, Take-Two Interactive, has not yet responded to a request for comment. The company has previously subpoenaed Microsoft and Discord for user data as part of its investigations into the leaks.
CyberLeek returned after a month-long hiatus, initially posting a 25-minute video of gameplay footage and later additional clips, including side-scrolling footage.
