The media company is now one person?

For years, people paid a subscription tax for Digital Content creation.

Not to a studio. To a login screen. A tool that billed me monthly. A service that charged by the minute and shipped my raw data to somebody else's server just to get processed. A scheduling platform. A visual assets tool. A "digital assistant." An automation utility that restricted functionality and watermarked everything until I upgraded.

None of it was outrageous. That's the trick. Each one was reasonable on its own, and together they added up to a small mortgage paid for software I never once owned.

And the more I paid, the less I actually had. Because rented software is not an asset. It's an expense with a cancel button someone else controls.

What KIRA actually is?

KIRA is a single Windows application that runs like a production company.

Not a chatbot with a video plugin. Not a "AI wizard" that does one clever thing

and then asks for a credit card. It is a working studio with a crew attached —

and the crew is software that never sleeps, never invoices you, and never asks

to see your files.

Open it and you get:

An AI crew. A room full of specialist agents — writers, researchers,
planners, coders, editors — that take direction and produce work product. You
brief them the way you'd brief people, and they hand back scripts, structures,
assets and code.

Visual node automation. This is the part people don't expect. You wire your

workflow on a canvas: a trigger here, an agent there, a webhook, a schedule, a
storage step, an export. Build it once. From then on the pipeline runs the way a
staffed pipeline runs — without you standing at the keyboard.

Offline transcription. Audio in, timed captions out. SRT, VTT, full

transcript. It runs locally, which means a two-hour interview does not become a two-hundred-dollar invoice and an upload queue.

Multi-cam broadcast and live streaming. Four camera sources, one switcher,
and a single button that goes live — to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and any custom
RTMP destination, at the same time. The countdown, the cut, the stream: one
person, one machine.

The boring-but-essential layer. Editing, hardware-accelerated compression,
hardcoded subtitle burn-in, and documents, sheets and slides. The unglamorous
eighty percent of the job that eats your evening.

The argument for owning your tools

There's a real difference between a tool that runs on you and a tool you run.
A rented tool decides when it changes, what it costs next quarter, which feature
moves to the tier above you, and where your data has to travel to be useful. Your
projects are guests in somebody else's building.

A tool you own can't be repriced on you. Your projects never leave your drive.
There's no per-minute meter running while you work, and no rate limit in the middle
of a live show.

That's the whole reason KIRA exists. Not "cheaper AI" — sovereign AI. It runs
on your machine, it does the work of a department, and it doesn't meter you while
it does it.

What it costs?

Zero, for personal use. No ads. No paywall. No subscription.

I know how that reads. Every founder eventually claims generous pricing. So here is

the honest version instead, because you'll want it before you install anything.

KIRA is a desktop application that does its heavy work on your hardware. Your
machine does the transcription, the rendering and the streaming, and your files stay
on your drive. Where a feature reaches out to a cloud model, that's the network
doing what you asked it to do — it isn't a meter, and it isn't a subscription
Free means free. It means the price stops being the reason you don't make the thing.

Who this is for?

The one-person media company. The creator who already knows how to make things and

is tired of being a production line of one. The podcaster, the streamer, the

videographer, the teacher, the small agency of exactly one person who keeps being

told they need a team.

You don't need a team. You need a switcher, a transcriber, an editor, a researcher,
a renderer and someone to run the pipeline at 3 a.m. That's now a single install.

If you're still a five-tool subscription person, KIRA will look like a lot. It is a

lot — deliberately. It's the entire shop, in one window, on Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
