The first hour after a launch is when a Telegram group is most exposed: new members flood in, nobody knows who the real admins are yet, and scammers know it.

This is the checklist I'd run, in order.

30 minutes before launch

  • Pin one message with the real contract address and nothing else.
  • Write the description: "Admins never DM first. The only CA is the pinned one."
  • Remove every admin right you don't need. Only the owner can add admins.
  • Set a captcha for new joiners.
  • Block links and media from new members for at least the first hours.

At launch

  • Post the CA once, from the owner account, and pin it.
  • Turn on slow mode for 10 to 30 seconds. It kills spam floods without killing the chat.
  • Have one person whose only job is watching joins for names that copy admins.

When a raid starts

  1. Raise slow mode.
  2. Restrict new members from posting.
  3. Pin: "Spam raid in progress. Don't click links. Admins never DM."
  4. Ban the raid accounts, then lower restrictions again.

After the first day

  • Review deleted messages so no real holder was silenced.
  • Revoke old invite links.
  • Keep the new-member link lock on; scammers come back on day two and three.

Automating it

Most of this can be automated. I built BlockGuard, a self-hosted bot that deletes any CA except yours, flags lookalike admin names (including Cyrillic/Greek letter swaps), locks links for new members, slows raids, and gives the owner one-tap Restore and Ban buttons. You can try to break it in the public demo group: https://t.me/blockguard_demo
