UMGD — Under Meeting Game Development

I owe you a little explanation. UMGD = Under Meeting Game Development. Even I was surprised by this one! After three months of silence, I finally managed to bring my corporate Copilot CLI access back to life. Meanwhile, a meeting started at 9:00 AM and lasted until 12:24 PM. Luckily, I wasn't the one leading it, so I had some time to push Copilot with Claude 5.5 a little harder. I already knew that AI could work surprisingly well with Blender, and that's actually what this article is about. But let's stick to the introduction for now. This little game was created during that meeting. Actually, it didn't even take the whole meeting. It started with me hunting down a spaceship image on the internet and dropping it into the project folder.

Then came the prompts.

1.

Create a 3D model based on cargo-spaces-ship.jpg. This will be the main location of the application, so the spaceship must have a fully developed interior as well. Before creating the model, figure out how the spaceship actually works: its purpose, crew capacity, and functionality. The application should be in English, use my @pengeszikra/TypeScript fork, and possibly Three.js. The player should be able to enter the spaceship in first-person mode and walk around inside.

2.

Great! A few changes: In first-person view, reduce vertical movement speed to one quarter. Use Q and E to turn left and right. When moving forward with W, gradually return the viewing direction to the center, overriding the mouse direction.

3.

What does the consumed 497.62 AIC mean?

4.

I'm not interested in the money. I just want to know what I can compare this to. Surely there are some international statistics.

5.

Thanks for the information. Now make it possible to sit in the pilot's seat and control the spaceship's takeoff. The hangar is located in space, so the ship should only travel between locations in space.

6.

Publish it on GitHub as a public repository, and save the entire prompt history into a file.Keep the prompts in Hungarian, exactly as they were.

TS+|>

One pleasant surprise!

In the very first prompt, I explicitly asked Copilot to use my TS+|> fork. But I only checked the actual source code later and discovered that it had been using the pipeline operator quite extensively! Check out space.ts on GitHub

And now, finally, the actual point of this article. I'll be terribly brief after putting you through all that! New AI models like Claude 5.5 and GPT-6 seem to have developed something resembling spatial understanding. In other words, LLMs can do more than just read descriptions of objects. They can construct an internal representation of a three-dimensional environment and reason about how its parts fit together and function. Of course, that doesn't mean they literally see the world as we do. But they can already design and work with complex 3D environments in ways that would have seemed rather extraordinary not so long ago. To me, this is another significant step toward ... The Singularity!

By the way if you walk in the RW-7 then you can found many disfunctional elements, like the big sized staircase, which is irreal on a spaceship mainly under zero G

Thanks for watching!
