This is a short one, because ProxyRoller is coming soon and I don't want to write a long article about something you can't use yet. ProxyRoller is an upcoming self-service proxy provider for lawful developer, agency and business use. Plans, locations and availability will be published when it opens, not before. The site says as much today: 'No published products for this category yet.' Here's what it's meant to be and why.
The idea
Buying proxies is often more confusing than it needs to be. Billing units differ between providers, totals appear late in checkout, and managing what you bought lives in a different place from where you bought it.
ProxyRoller's plan is simple: pick a proxy type and a location, see the billing unit and the total before you pay, and manage everything afterwards from one account.
Proxy types planned
| Type | Status |
|---|---|
| Residential | Planned |
| Mobile | Planned |
| ISP | Planned |
| Datacenter | Planned |
How buying is meant to work
- Choose a proxy type.
- Choose a location.
- See the billing unit and the total before paying.
- Manage connection details and usage and renewals from one account.
- Get help from setup guides and a knowledge base in several languages or from support.
Not open yet. ProxyRoller is coming soon. There are no plans, prices, locations or availability to quote today, and I won't guess at any of them here.
Why one account matters
The part of buying proxies that wastes the most time isn't the purchase. It's everything after: finding the connection details again, checking usage, remembering when something renews, and figuring out where to ask for help. ProxyRoller is meant to keep all of that in the same account where you bought it, with setup guides and a knowledge base next to it.
That's not a revolutionary idea. It's just one that a lot of providers skip.
Note: What will be published. Plans, locations and availability will be published when ProxyRoller opens. Until then, anything you read elsewhere about its prices or coverage isn't from me.
Lawful use only
ProxyRoller is meant for lawful developer, agency and business use. That's not a footnote. A proxy provider that doesn't care what its proxies are used for eventually becomes a provider nobody reputable wants to touch.
What I'd check before buying from any proxy provider
- Is the billing unit clear before checkout
- Do you see the total before paying
- Can you manage renewals and usage in one place
- Are setup guides available in your language
- Does the provider say what use is allowed
Until then
There's a page at proxyroller.com if you want to see where it's heading. My other projects are on spicanet.net/products.
