PlainBill keeps medical bills and EOBs on your device — no account, nothing uploaded.

Backups of medical bills are sensitive: claim numbers, balances, and often photos of EOBs. You still need a file you can move between browsers. PlainBill 1.5 lets you seal that file with a passphrase before it ever leaves the device.

What's new in 1.5

  • Optional encrypted backup — AES-GCM with PBKDF2 (250k iterations). Leave the passphrase blank for plain JSON.
  • Encrypted restore — enter the same passphrase when importing a sealed file
  • Due-date calendar (.ics) — open bills with balances export as all-day events for Google or Apple Calendar

The passphrase never leaves your browser; only the encrypted blob is downloaded.
