Meet Currency Quokka: a small, free currency converter built on ECB reference rates

Hi DEV! I'd like to share a little project called Currency Quokka (https://currencyquokka.com).

It's a free currency converter for hundreds of the most popular currency pairs. The rates are indicative European Central Bank reference rates, republished by the Frankfurter API.

A few things I wanted it to do well:

• Show the working. Each result shows the rate, the rate date, and the multiplication, so you can see exactly how the number was reached.
• Handle pairs without the Euro honestly. Those are cross rates derived from the ECB's Euro reference rates.
• Stay out of the way. It's free, with no account and no signup.

One thing worth being clear about: the rates are indicative. They're handy for checking roughly what something costs, but they aren't a bank or card quote.
