I'd rather get “I couldn't read the file” than a confident summary of it.
Say I ask ChatGPT to summarize a document, but it can only read the first four pages. “Here's a summary of pages 1–4. I couldn't access the rest.” That's still useful. I know what I can use and what I need to send again.
