I have a habit of collecting useful websites.
Whenever I find a good tool for compressing images, converting formats, resizing photos, or generating something, I bookmark it.
The problem?
Eventually, my bookmarks become a collection of websites that all do one small thing.
Need to convert an image? Open one website.
Need to compress five images? Find another.
Want to extract a color palette or inspect EXIF metadata? Start searching again.
It felt unnecessarily complicated.
So I decided to build something that brings these everyday image utilities together.
Meet KiteImage: https://kiteimage.vercel.app/
More than an image compressor
I didn't want to build another website that only compresses images.
I wanted a complete browser-based image workspace where people could find tools for different image-related tasks.
KiteImage currently includes 173+ tools across six categories.
Here's a quick look.

Privacy wasn't an afterthought
One thing I particularly wanted to get right was how images are processed.
KiteImage uses client-side browser processing for its image tools.
Your files are processed on your device rather than being uploaded to our image-processing servers.
That means you can work with supported images without creating an account or sending them through a traditional server-side processing workflow.
For me, this is an important part of making everyday image tools more convenient.
Why browser-based?
Modern browsers are capable of much more than displaying websites.
With technologies like HTML5 Canvas and other browser APIs, it's possible to build surprisingly powerful image-processing experiences without requiring desktop software.
I wanted to explore that potential and make it accessible through a simple interface.
No installation. No registration. Just open the website and use the tools.
What I'd like to improve
KiteImage is an ongoing project.
Having 173+ tools is exciting, but I don't want the number to be the only thing that matters.
I want the tools to be genuinely useful, easy to access, and reliable across different devices.
There are still plenty of possibilities for new tools and improvements.
Give it a look
If you regularly work with images, developers, designers, photographers, and content creators might find something useful here.
Website: https://kiteimage.vercel.app/
It's free to use, requires no account, and processes supported images locally in your browser.
I'm curious about something:
If you could add one image-processing tool to a website like this, what would it be?
I'm always interested in hearing ideas for useful tools that people actually need.
