I Built Paano: An AI Problem-Resolution Engine
Most AI interfaces assume you already know what to ask. But real problems don't usually arrive as well-formed questions. They arrive as: “This happened. I don't know what to do.” That's why I built Paano. Paano is an AI
Most AI interfaces assume you already know what to ask.
But real problems don't usually arrive as well-formed questions.
They arrive as:
“This happened. I don't know what to do.”
That's why I built Paano.
Paano is an AI-powered problem-resolution engine designed to work from situations rather than perfectly formulated questions.
Its core loop is:
Understand → Investigate → Act → Reassess
Instead of immediately generating an answer, Paano tries to determine:
- What is known?
- What is unknown?
- What could explain the situation?
- What information is missing?
- What should happen next?
- When should the system stop and escalate?
Confidence is not correctness.
Paano is designed around the idea that an AI shouldn't simply become more confident because it has produced a plausible explanation.
The system should be able to recognize uncertainty, gather additional evidence, change its hypothesis, and escalate when appropriate.
Try Paano:

This is an early version, and I'm still developing the system. I'm particularly interested in feedback on whether the problem-resolution approach is actually useful in real-world situations.
Paano was designed and built by Samuel Mallo.
