I Built a Free Tool That Copies Any CV Style You Like (From Just an Image)

You know that feeling: you see a CV design you love — a clean sidebar, a nice colour, a layout that just looks professional — and you wish your own CV looked like that. Until now, your options were: pay a designer, hunt for a template that almost matches, or rebuild it by hand in Word for hours.
So I built a free tool that does it the simple way.
How it works
- Upload the reference CV image — the design you like. The tool reads it in your browser and detects its main colour automatically.
- Pick a layout that matches your reference — left sidebar, right sidebar, top header band, two-column, or single-column. These five cover nearly every professional CV design out there.
- Upload your own photo and fill in your details — name, title, contact, summary, experience, education, skills (with level bars if you want), languages.
- Watch the live preview update as you type, then download a clean A4 PDF — no watermark, no sign-up, no cost.
The privacy part matters
Everything happens in your browser. Your reference image, your photo, and your personal details are never uploaded or saved anywhere. Close the tab and it's gone — which is exactly how a tool handling your career details should work.
Why I built it
I make free browser tools for students, freelancers, and job seekers, and CVs kept coming up: people don't struggle with what to write nearly as much as with making it look right. A CV that looks professional gets read. A messy one gets skipped, no matter how good the experience behind it is.
This tool is my answer to that: bring any style you like, keep your own story, and walk away with a CV that looks like it was designed for you — because, in a way, it was.
Try it here: https://toolpilotpro.com/tools/cv-maker-from-image
It's free, and I'd genuinely love to hear whether the style matching works on the CV design you try it with.
