So I built openconstructor: a free, open-source editor where you describe an interface, the AI builds it on a canvas, and then you own the result. Edit it by hand, publish it, or download real code.

What you can do in 60 seconds
- Open the editor and type "a landing page for a coffee roastery with a menu and reviews".
- Watch the AI write it live, then see it land on the canvas.
- Click any block and say "make this darker" or "add a pricing section". Only that part changes.
- Hit publish for a free link (with your own domain if you want), or export the code.
What's inside
🤖 Free AI, no key. The built-in AI runs on open models (GPT-OSS 120B, Llama 3.3 70B). You get 3 tries a day without an account and 20 a day with a free one. Want Claude, GPT or Gemini instead? Plug in your own key; it's stored encrypted on your device.
🎬 Cinematic 3D sites. Ask for a "cinematic 3D website" and you get an award-style page: glowing CSS 3D objects, text that lights up on scroll, AI-drawn 3D art. No JavaScript in the result.
🧱 320+ hand-made components. Heroes, pricing tables, dashboards, sign-in screens, AI chat widgets. Drop them on a free-form canvas and mix them with AI-generated blocks.
📄 Free templates. Coffee shop, SaaS, restaurant, gym, luxury real estate, AI startup and more at openconstructor.pw/templates. Open one and tell the AI what your business is.
🚀 Publish in one click. A free openconstructor.pw/p/your-page link, a custom domain, working contact forms (messages come to your e-mail), view counts, and a link preview that shows your actual page.
📦 Real export, not a lock-in. Download:
- a static HTML site,
- a ready Vite + React project,
- Vue or Svelte components,
- and for game devs, Roblox UI (Luau / .rbxmx) and LÖVE 2D. As far as I know, nothing else does that.
📱 Works on your phone. Describe a page on the bus, see exactly how visitors will see it on mobile, publish it.
🔓 Open source (MIT). No vendor lock-in, no "credits". Self-host it if you like.
Why free?
Because the hard part of a website isn't writing HTML any more. It's getting started, and paywalls make that harder. The free AI runs on Cloudflare's free tier and open models, so it costs me very little to keep it free for everyone.
How it's built (short version)
- Vanilla JS editor + a Cloudflare Worker + Supabase. No heavy framework.
- Small free models can't design reliably, so some page types are assembled from hand-made sections and the AI only writes the content as JSON. Quality went from "sometimes nice" to consistently polished.
- Published pages run with
script-src 'none', so nothing on a user page can execute JavaScript. Animations and 3D are pure CSS.
