Every time I needed to make a small change to a PDF, I ran into the same problem.
I'd find an online PDF editor, upload my file, spend a few minutes editing it, and then...
"Please create an account to download."
For a simple task like editing a PDF, it felt unnecessary.
So I decided to build my own.
So I Build a website :
- Free
- No signup required
- Fast
- Simple to use
This is edit page
Current Features
Edit PDFs
Merge PDFs
Split PDFs
Compress PDFs
And more PDF tools
Tech Stack
I built the website using:
Astro
TypeScript
Modern browser APIs
One of my goals was to keep the experience fast and responsive while making the interface as simple as possible.
Challenges
Building a PDF editor wasn't as straightforward as I expected.
Some of the challenges included:
Rendering PDF pages efficiently
Keeping interactions smooth
Managing larger PDF files
Designing a clean interface that doesn't overwhelm users
I'm still improving the project and adding new features.
Looking for Feedback
I'm sharing it here because I'd love feedback from other developers.
If you have suggestions about:
UI/UX
Performance
Features
Accessibility
I'd really appreciate hearing them.
