Hi everyone,
I've been working on Cryptobubblemap — a free web tool that turns the crypto market into an interactive bubble chart. I wanted to share it with the DEV community and get honest feedback from builders and traders who actually stare at market screens all day.
The problem I kept running into
Most crypto dashboards are tables: rank, price, 24h %, scroll, repeat. That works for checking one coin, but it's painful when you want a quick visual read on what's moving across hundreds of assets.
I wanted something closer to a heat map you can explore — without installing a desktop app or signing up for another portfolio tracker.
What Cryptobubblemap does
Each coin is a bubble on one canvas:
- Size reflects a market metric you choose (e.g. market cap or volume)
- Color shows price performance over your selected timeframe (1h → 1 year)
- Filter by category or exchange
- Switch fiat display
- Open a detail page for any asset
It's 100% browser-based. No install. Free to use.
👉 Try it here: https://cryptobubblemap.com
Who it's for
- Traders who want a fast scan of momentum
- Researchers comparing sectors or exchanges
- Anyone tired of scrolling endless ranking tables
Market data comes from established providers including CoinGecko.
What I'm working on next
- Sharper defaults for first-time visitors
- More ways to compare sectors at a glance
- Better mobile layout for quick checks on the go
I'd love your feedback
If you try it, I'd genuinely appreciate notes on:
- Is the first screen understandable in under 10 seconds?
- What metric or timeframe do you reach for first?
- Anything confusing or missing for your workflow?

Thanks for reading — and if you've built something in the fintech or crypto visualization space, I'd love to hear what worked for you too.
