The Problem
Developers building e-commerce or delivery apps in Pakistan usually rely on outdated, broken GitHub Gists. These flat JSON files lack relational structure, miss newly formed districts, and ignore how local courier networks actually operate.
The Solution: pakistan-address
I engineered a plug-and-play npm package to permanently solve this data headache:
Normalized Official Data: Accurately maps the structured hierarchy of Provinces → Divisions → Districts → Tehsils.
Unofficial Courier Delivery Areas: Includes distributed real-world delivery zones. Government boundaries rarely match how local logistics work on the ground; this dataset bridges that gap for realistic checkout flows.
Fully Typed: Built with TypeScript to catch data errors at compile time, not during a user's checkout.
Stop copy-pasting outdated text files and use a reliable, maintained package for your next location-based app.
