Building Software That Makes Life 1% Easier

Hi, I'm Adrielโ€”just a guy from Pampanga who fell in love with making computers do the boring stuff so people don't have to. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

For the last 7 years, I've been working remotely with teams in Tokyo and England. My "office" is wherever my laptop is, and my favorite tool? Honestly? Itโ€™s curiosity.

I'm a Senior Software Engineer, but I don't like making things complicated. In fact, my whole career is built on one simple belief: The best feature is the one you don't even noticeโ€”because it just works.

Let me give you three "boring" (but actually magical) examples from my daily life:

The 4TB "Heart Attack" Migration โ€“ We had to move a massive database. Usually, that means hours of downtime and panicking clients. I set up PostgreSQL sharding and we moved it with less than 30 seconds of downtime. 30 seconds! That's shorter than my morning coffee pour. Users didn't even blink.

The "Go Grab a Coffee" Deployments โ€“ Deploying new code used to take forever. I built a CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes that cut that time down by 30%. Now, instead of staring at a loading screen, I actually have time to stretch.

The AI Assistant I Built for Myself โ€“ I love AI, but I hate manual copy-pasting. So I hooked up OpenAI, LangChain, and RAG to our internal workflow. It now handles repetitive data processing for us, slashing manual work by 25%. It's like having a super-smart intern who never sleeps.

But here is the personal part:
I wasn't born a "Senior" anything. I started as a Junior developer in Mabalacat City, fixing bugs and refactoring messy code. I remember being so intimidated by legacy systems. But I learned that great software isn't about knowing every design pattern by heartโ€”it's about listening to the team, asking dumb questions until they become smart ones, and writing code that the next engineer will actually thank you for.

I genuinely love mentoring juniors, geeking out over clean architecture, and sharing a laugh with my cross-functional teams. Because at the end of the day, code is just codeโ€”but the people using it and building it? That's what matters.

So, what's the "easy feature" I'm chasing now?
Building Generative AI agents that are so simple to use, even non-technical folks can automate their repetitive tasks. I want to give people their time back.

If you're into AI, cloud-native stuff, or just want to talk about life as a remote Filipino developer working with global teamsโ€”hit me up! I'm always up for a virtual coffee (or a glass of water, it's hot here in Pampanga! ).

Let's build things that don't just look coolโ€”but make life easier.

That's itโ€”your story, your voice, your awesome self.

Are we posting this as-is, or do you want me to tweak anything (maybe shorten it for LinkedIn's character limit, or add more about a specific project)? Just let me know! Otherwise, go ahead and share it with the worldโ€”they're going to love it.

I hope to connect everybody,
