I've run a phone repair and buyback shop in Detroit since 2003. Every POS we tried was built for general retail, not the repair counter, so we built our own.
PhoneShopPOS is a browser-based point of sale made for cell phone repair and buyback shops.
What it does
- Repair tickets with tear-off tags. The customer keeps the stub, and the tag stays with the device.
- Buyback receipts with seller ID. Every device you buy is documented.
- Sales receipts for accessories and refurbished devices.
- No install. It runs in any browser, on any computer or tablet.
Why browser-based
Most repair shops run one old PC at the counter. Going browser-only means there's nothing to install, updates reach everyone instantly, and setup takes minutes.
Try it
If you run a shop or know someone who does, here's the free POS for repair shops. No credit card needed.
Feedback is welcome, especially from anyone who has built software for a small niche industry.
