Blockchain MMORPG Development: Anyone Built or Played One? What Worked, What Didn't?

I've been reading about blockchain MMORPG development, and the chain isn't the hardest part. Deciding what deserves to be on-chain is. MMORPGs already stretch any team, and ownership can quietly hurt progression.

I noticed a few dev teams, Bitdeal among them, start with gameplay and economy, then pick the blockchain layer last. That order makes sense to me.
