On bid day the lowest number on the page is often the wrong award. One electrical sub excludes fire-alarm devices; another includes them. One price is bonded; another is not. Raw sort order rewards incomplete scope. Estimators spend the afternoon building a leveled tab: same scope, same assumptions, then a fair ranking.
Most teams still do that in Excel. Procore and bid platforms help when everyone already lives there. BidLevel is a focused, private worksheet for the leveling math itself.

Not a plan room, takeoff engine, or award recommendation with legal weight. You still read the proposals. BidLevel keeps the arithmetic honest while you do.
