šŸš€ AWS Journey - Day 9

Today, I continued my AWS Cloud learning journey by exploring one of the most important topics in cloud networking: Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).

šŸ“š Topics Covered
āœ… Amazon VPC

Learned how to create a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), which provides a private and isolated network inside AWS where cloud resources such as EC2 instances can be securely deployed.

āœ… Subnets

Created both Public and Private Subnets to understand how AWS separates internet-facing resources from internal resources for better security and architecture.

āœ… Internet Gateway (IGW)

Configured an Internet Gateway and attached it to the VPC, allowing resources in public subnets to communicate with the internet.

āœ… Route Tables

Learned how Route Tables control network traffic by defining routes for public and private subnets. Configured routes to direct internet-bound traffic through the Internet Gateway.

āœ… VPC Peering

Explored VPC Peering, which enables two separate VPCs to communicate privately using AWS's internal network without traversing the public internet.

āœ… NAT Gateway

Configured a NAT Gateway to allow instances in private subnets to access the internet for software updates and package downloads while remaining inaccessible from the internet.

āœ… Network ACL (Access Control List)

Learned how Network ACLs provide subnet-level security by allowing or denying inbound and outbound traffic based on customizable rules.

šŸŽÆ Key Takeaways
Built a secure and scalable AWS network architecture.
Understood the difference between Public and Private Subnets.
Learned how Internet Gateway and NAT Gateway manage internet connectivity.
Configured Route Tables for proper traffic flow.
Connected multiple VPCs using VPC Peering.
Strengthened network security with Network ACLs.

Every networking concept in AWS builds the foundation for designing secure, highly available, and production-ready cloud environments.
